The Parisian producer Onra has been kicking around the scene for the past couple of years with excellent but usually overlooked releases like 2010’s excellent Long Distance. All of this is soon to change, as Onra has gained a big supporter in American label Fools Gold, and with his new EP and U.S. tour he is sure to become a bigger name. Onra, who is performing live tomorrow at U Street Music Hall, makes hip-hop beats with a bit of French-touche and Daft Punk inspired sounds. Today’s song of the day, “L.O.V.E.,” is a smooth late night funk number from his new EP. To miss Onra tomorrow would be a crime.

Onra plays tomorow with Party Supplies, Pursuit Grooves and Micah Vellian at U Street Music Hall. Tickets are $8.
