>> With Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley about to announce whether he’ll call a special legislative session about building a casino in Prince George’s County, a prospective casnio builder is getting a second look, the Post reports. MGM Grand, which proposed building an $800 million casino and resort at National Harbor, owns among its properties a resort in Macau, China co-owned by the daughter of Stanley Ho, a Chinese gaming magnate suspected of having ties to organized crime.

>> Bryce Harper left the first game of the Nationals’ doubleheader yesterday against the Atlanta Braves when he hit a foul ball off his ankle. He wasn’t in the starting lineup of the second game, sparking fears that the 19-year-old was injured, but then Harper came in as a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning and scored the tie-breaking run.
