The D.C. Housing Authority today threatened “strong disciplinary action” if it finds that one of its employees gave Mayor Vince Gray’s 2010 mayoral campaign a list of 6,000 public housing residents, information which was then used to drive turnout in the September Democratic primary. Executive Director Adrianne Todman also said that any such revelations would be turned over to the “appropriate authorities.”

“The DC Housing Authority is very concerned that an unauthorized list of public housing residents was circulated during the 2010 mayoral campaign. We take our role in safeguarding the privacy of our clients seriously. If it is discovered that staff action led to an unlawful release of such a list, strong disciplinary action will be taken and we will refer the matter to the appropriate authorities. We are reaching out to our public housing clients today to assure them that their privacy is of utmost concern to DCHA, and we take steps to protect that privacy,” said Todman in the statement.
