It might only be Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take some time to celebrate the potent potable that makes us all sloppily drunk in the course of two or three shots.

It’s National Tequila Day, and among the specials going on at local Mexican eateries, Georgetown’s newest high-end Mexican place, Bandolero, is offering a two-for-one deal on all agave-based quaffs.

Bandolero, the newest venture by Graffiato chef and former Top Chef guy Mike Isabella, is offering patrons double action on any of its menu’s 40 tequilas, whether served in a shot glass, on the rocks or in a cocktail. Columbia Heights’ equally new El Chucho is also offering National Tequila Day specials, including $4 shots and $5 margaritas sponsored by Tequila Real.
