Police are searching for 12-year-old Martinez Jessie Raynor, a missing boy with special needs who was last seen in the 500 block of Rock Creek Church Road. “Martinez is described as african american with a light complexion, 4 feet tall and 65-70 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray pants.” [WUSA]

Adams Morgan business owners and residents are sparring over parking, as new Ward 1 restrictions are about to take into effect. “A lot of cars that are parked there during the work week are from Maryland and Virginia. When the new restrictions go into effect one side of the street will be residential parking only, 24-7.” [WJLA]

Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler is appealing a federal court judge’s ruling that Maryland’s gun permit law is unconstitutional. “On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Benson Legg decided to lift a stay effective Aug. 7, pertaining to his ruling that will allow Maryland residents to carry handguns without having to show a ‘good and substantial reason.'” [AP]
