OUTDOOR FILM-WATCHING: You can opt either for Screen on the Green’s From Here to Eternity Crystal City’s You’ve Got Mail. Alternatively, the Washington Psychotronic Film Society is playing Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated at McFadden’s (2401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) at 8 p.m. and the Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW) has a pair of scary flicks (Fright Night and 30 Days of Night) as part of its Monster Movie Mondays. All are free.

RESTAURANT BATTLE: If you like Food Network-style competitions, Cohn’s Kitchen is hosting a “Battle of the Bistros” tonight at Clyde’s in Gallery Place. Two teams will line up to produce and present new restaurant concepts that will then be judged a panel of experts. 6 p.m. $10, tickets available here.

TENNIS: The Citi Open—formerly known as the Legg Mason Tennis Classic—kicked off in Rock Creek Park (16th and Kennedy Streets NW) over the weekend, and starting at 4 p.m. today there are 19 matches to choose from. Box seats go for $70, while reserved seats are only $45. Buy your tickets here.

REPUBLICAN DRINKIN’: The local Democratic political establishment has seen better days, so how about joining the D.C. Republican Party? Too much? Well then just grab a drink with the D.C. Young Republicans tonight at Banana Cafe and Piano Bar (500 Eighth Street SE) on Barracks Row. The festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m., and there will be plenty of drink specials.
