Maybe it’s reassuring to know that our local criminal element can be so oblivious to the reality that being caught breaking a small law can lead to being busted for a much greater one. This email came in over a neighborhood listserv this weekend:

“At approximately 830pm tonight, members of the Third District’s Crime Suppression Team came in contact with an adult male in the 600 block of Park Road after he was observed to be in possession of an open container of alcohol. Further investigation found the male was also carrying a loaded revolver in his waistband. The subject was placed under arrest and another weapon was taken off the streets.”

You could say the guy was fully loaded, huh? (Hey-o!)
