The Nationals had a special guest at batting practice today in George Thorogood, the interminable blues rocker. And the Nationals public relations department released via Twitter the above image of Thorogood—he’s the one trying to mask his age with a Capitol Records T-shirt and sunglasses—getting chatty one of his fans, Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper.
This apparent mutual admiration society likely came about because Harper uses Thorogood’s hit “Bad to the Bone” as his walk-on music. (Somehow, we think Thorogood’s other big hit, the superior “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” might not be Harper’s jam.)
But look at Harper. Dude was just straight bro-ing out today, rocking the giant red headband and sleeveless T-shirt reading “Sun’s out, guns out.” Deadspin beat us to the punch, but we, too, are waiting on word if “Thorogood was able to handle all the Natitude that Harper rocked right into his fucking face.”
