TALK: As detailed in the Arts Agenda yesterday, join Washington Project for the Arts and the Corcoran Gallery of Art tonight for a discussion on performance art, with Esa Nickle, Managing Director/ Producer of Performa.

ART: Head to The Art League (105 North Union Street Alexandria, VA) for the opening receptions of ‘Scapes, “the annual juried all-media show inviting representations of landscapes of all kind,” and The Shape of Things, which “explores sculpture in multiple styles and mediums.” 6:30 to 8 p.m.

MOVIE: We noted in a recent review that Landmark’s E Street Cinema (555 11th Street NW) is the only Washington-area venue showing Moonrise Kingdom the way it was meant to be seen: on 16-millimeter film. See Wes Anderson’s work of “hipster whimsy” tonight at E Street Cinema at 5, 7:30, or 9:45 p.m. $11.

MUSIC: Infected Mushroom, “one of the world’s greatest electronic bands of the decade” (claims their bio), performs at the 9:30 Club (815 V Street NW) tonight. Randy Seidman opens. 9:00 p.m. $35.
