Two deadly hit-and-run incidents occurred earlier today in Northern Virginia.

In Fairfax County, a man was struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle after he pulled over his car on the shoulder of Interstate 95 after midnight.

The driver of the Hyundai Sante Fe SUV, 19-year-old Carol Rood-Johnson, was charged of driving under the influence of alcohol, reports The Crime Scene.

Up north in Fairfax City, a man was struck and killed by an SUV around 1:15 a.m. while he was crossing a street. Police said the 2010 Jeep Compass fled the scene after its driver hit James Ralph Davidson, 62, who has no known address. Arlington Police were able to locate the driver, reports WJLA.
