The Godfather of Go-Go has an official day, and a memorial park is in the works. All that’s missing is an appropriate musical tribute—and the Howard Theatre announced one today.

The theatre and the Chuck Brown Band are teaming up to launch “Wind Me Up, Chuck! Mondays,” a weekly series of concerts in which the artists and icons who were inspired by Brown pay tribute to his legacy. The first concert, set for September 17, will feature George Clinton and the Chuck Brown Band. Subsequent concerts will take place on October 1 and 15; November 5, 12, 19, and 26; and December 3, 10 and 17. Acts for those shows will be announced shortly.
