Look, if you watched any of Ryan Lochte’s interviews during the Olympics in London earlier this month, you’re probably aware that he’s great at swimming, but not so hot when it comes to talking on camera. Dude might be all meme-y and stuff, but, come on, he’s about as smart as a sack of chlorine tablets. (Google the terms “Ryan Lochte” and “BuzzFeed” and brace yourself as your head explodes.)
Unfortunately, there seems to be a bit of a brain deficiency in the Lochte family. But compared to his sister, Lochte should be doing all the talking.
Jezebel dug up a 2008 video clip of Megan Lochte appearing on Closing Time, a now-defunct web-based talk show hosted by Baltimore comedian Mickey Cucchiella. In the interview, Lochte dishes on her then-recent trip to Beijing, where she watched her brother compete in the Olympic Games in the Chinese capital.
Apparently, Megan Lochte was not terribly charmed by her visit to China. When Cucchiella asked how long her stay was, Lochte couldn’t help but punctuate her response with some old-school racism.
Megan Lochte (Via Facebook)“We were there for over a week. China was chinked out,” she said.
Jeez. And Cucchiella tried to walk her back, but no luck. “But it, like, fits them, because they’re like, chinks!” she replied.
And what did Lochte think of the Chinese population? “Chinks, everywhere.”
How about China’s most notable cultural asset, the Great Wall of China? “The Great Wall is misnamed. [It should be called] like, fucking huge OCD fence.”
Oy.
The video has been removed, thankfully. Still, gah.
