>> Councilmember Mary Cheh (D-Ward 3) may have angered many of her constituents when she endorsed Mayor Vince Gray in his 2010 race against Mayor Adrian Fenty, but she certainly angered Gray when she called on him to resign in July over allegation surrounding a $653,000 shadow campaign. And as the D.C. Council returns from its summer recess in two weeks, the Post reports, Cheh may be forced to rethink her role and allegiances on the city’s legislative body.

>> Everyone is happy that the Washington Nationals are having such a great season, and maybe no one more than the city’s financial officials. The Washington Times that a winning season for the Nats—not to mention a possible playoff run—has caused an increase in sales of tickets and concessions within the stadium, meaning more revenues for he city to pay off the $535 million it borrowed to built Nationals Park.

>> Capital Bikeshare keeps expanding, with work beginning today on eight stations in Old Town Alexandria, writes WTOP. There are currently over 1,600 bikes at 175 stations throughout the region, and the new stations in Alexandria should be ready to go by September.
