>> Delegates from Virginia have it real nice at the Republican National Convention, the Post reports. State leaders like Gov. Bob McDonnell gets a prime speaking slot. Breakfast meetings are visited by the likes of Tagg Romney and Jon Voight. And the delegates get great floor seats at the convention itself. It didn’t always used to be this way, but now that Virginia is a swing state, they get all the swag.
>> Mayor Vince Gray is set to introduce his proposal to reform campaign finances later today, his office announced yesterday. As the Examiner notes, the long-anticipated move comes just a week before two of Gray’s former campaign aides are set to return to court for their roles in a 2010 shadow campaign on the now-mayor’s behalf.
>> The youngest delegate to the Republican National Convention is a 17-year-old from Fairfax County, NBC4 reports. Evan Draim, a rising high-school senior, is kicking it in Tampa, Fla. this week because he sounds like one of those kids who read Atlas Shrugged while listening to Rush’s 2112 with the treble turned all the way up.
