It took all of two minutes for I.M.P. to unload general admission tickets to the Virgin Mobile FreeFest on October 6 at Merriweather Post Pavilion, the concert promoter announced today. Tickets were made available last week, with a limited batch released Thursday and the majority distributed Friday.
Even though most of the passes are gone, there are still a couple routes for those desperate to see a lineup that includes Skrillex, ZZ Top and The Dismemberment Plan, among other acts.
As in past years, Virgin Mobile is offering a ticket to anyone who contributes their time to its associated charity, RE*Generation, which works to curb youth homelessness. Last year’s effort resulted in 75,000 volunteer hours, Virgin Mobile said in the press release.
Alternatively, there is a cash option. The “Freemium” package costs $49.50, some of which goes to RE*Generation, and includes a T-Shirt and souvenir cup along with admission.
