NERD ALERT: Thirstdc, which brings “D.C’s brightest minds to get together to share ideas,” is celebrating its One Year Anniversary this Thursday with some nerdy fun at U Street Music Hall (1115 U Street NW). 7:00-10:00 p.m. $15 early bird, $20 regular admission, $25 under the wire, and $40 at the door.

PHOTOGRAPHY: The Corcoran Gallery of Art (500 17th Street NW) presents Convergence, a one-night exhibit of the inaugural calss of New Media Photojournalism graduate students at the Corcoran College of Art and Design. There will be free drinks and appetizers. 6:00-9:00 p.m. Free.
