WTOP reports that various churches are asking the D.C. Department of Transportation to make parking easier for parishioners.
>> Katie Ledecky may have won a gold medal in the London Olympics, but she’s also a 15-year-old that just started her sophomore year. The Post reports that after her mid-summer glory, Ledecky has returned to take refuge in Bethesda’s Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart. And yes, she did complete her summer reading assignments: “Lord of the Flies” and “Pride and Prejudice.”
>> Police in Ellicott City, Maryland have released audio of the 911 calls that came in after a CSX train derailed on a bridge spanning Main Street last month, reports WAMU. Two 19-year-old college students were killed when the train overturned and dumped a load of coal on them.
