>> After another torrential rainstorm left much of Bloomingdale and LeDroit Park flooded, D.C. Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie (D-Ward 5) is calling for the creation of a flood relief assistance fund, the Post reports.. Sunday’s downpour prompted 27 calls to D.C. Water from residents whose houses and apartments were left inundated. The District is building a flood relief tunnel, but that $600 million project isn’t scheduled to be completed until 2025.
