FOUND: For a decade FOUND Magazine has been collecting and publishing love letters, birthday cards, kids’ homework, to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, and more as a means of shedding light on other peoples lives. Tonight Davy Rothbart, the magazine’s editor, and his brother Peter come to the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue (600 I Street NW) to discuss Davy’s new book of personal essays (My Heart is an Idiot), Peter’s new album (You Are What You Dream) and a new issue of the magazine. 7 p.m. Tickets are $12, or you can get two free tickets if you buy the book ($27) there.

TEQUILA: We’ve all done food and wine pairings, but how about tequila? SOLDIERS AND STRAVINSKY: Michael Votta leads the U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus, along with members of UMD Chamber Singers, in an all-Stravinsky program featuring L’Histoire du Soldat (A Soldier’s Tale). The performance will take place at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland in College Park (University Boulevard and Stadium Drive). 8 p.m. Free.
