Niki & The Dove might be one of the strangest signees on Sub Pop, the label most know as Nirvana’s first home, but the band has evolved into one of the most dynamic forces in the indie-rock world. If not the oddest, it is surely the only pop-oriented signee.

The Stockholm trio composed of singer Malin Dahlström and instrumentalists Gustaf Karlöf and Magnus Böqvist just released its full-length debut Instinct this past May, after making its first U.S. appearance in March at the U Street Music Hall. The group’s singles have all been stellar combinations of artists like Bjork, The Knife and Robyn while making radio-friendly electronic pop sure to woo over indie rock kids and mainstreamers alike.

The trio is playing a sold-out show tonight at the Black Cat with Twin Shadow, and it is not to be missed. Today’s song of the day is a Prince-eqsue cut from Instinct, “Somebody.” The track’s buoyant tune is a surge rush with a massive sing-along chorus. Check out the album version as well as a slew of remixes below.
