OUTDOOR MOVIE: The U Street Movie Series closes out its three-month run tonight with John Grisham’s The Pelican Brief. Beyond the pleasant weather and solid plot, head over to Harrison Field (V Street between 13th and 14th Streets NW) at dusk to catch Denzel Washington play a reporter at the fictional Washington Herald and to cheer on the scenes that were actually shot here—and the ones that clearly were not.

HIGH-BROW PUB QUIZ: If you’re sick of kicking everyone’s ass at your local pub quiz, try your hand at the National Portrait Gallery’s collection-inspired trivia game. The game, which takes place in the Kogod Courtyard, will feature questions “associated with some of the greatest mysteries in American history—solved, unsolved and disputed.” 6:30 p.m. Free.

MUSIC: Former Sleater-Kinney singer-guitarist Corin Tucker plays the Black Cat Backstage in support of Kill My Blues, the second album by her current four-piece, The Corin Tucker Band.
