Over 130 people came to a U Street alley Saturday afternoon to become Indiana Jones—if only for a day. At the Alley of Doom event, thrill-seekers tried to reenact the scene from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark when Indie was running away from a large rolling boulder.

The menacing rock in this game funded by the Awesome Foundation was a large inflatable ball, making the event as adventurous as Indoe would want it—but significantly safer. A couple of DCist Flickr contributors were there to witness and snap some shots of what appeared to be quite the awesome time.
