DEBATES: All four of Busboys and Poets’ locations will be hosting presidential debate watch parties this evening, as well as on October 16th and October 22nd. Tonight, the candidates will be focusing on domestic policy, and the event will be moderated by Jim Lehrer. 9:00 p.m.

>> The Woman’s National Democratic Club (1526 New Hampshire Avenue NW) is also having a Presidential Debate Watch Party tonight, and will provide light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Bar opens 8:00 p.m., debate goes from 9:00 to 10:30 p.m. $10.

BEER: Join Widmer Brothers Brewing and Draft Magazine at Long View Gallery (1234 9th Street NW) for Explore Your Craft: DC, an evening of interactive art, brewing demonstrations, food and beer. 7:00-10:00 p.m. Tickets: $45.

>> As we mentioned in the last Weekly Feed, Jack Rose Dining Saloon (2007 18th Street NW) is collaborating with Flying Dog tonight, for “The Return of the Night of the Living Gourd,” featuring 10 pumpkin beers and a pumpkin pie eating contest. 5:00 p.m.-midnight.

MOVIE: Join the DC Rollergirls at E Street Cinema (555 11th Street NW) tonight for a screening of the derby documentary, “Derby, Baby!,” in which Juliette Lewis narrates “the story of women’s roller derby is covered from both a national and international perspective.” 7:00 p.m. Tickets: $8.24. Update: tickets are no longer being sold online, but plenty are available and can be purchased at the door.
