You may have noticed a subtle change to the traditional DCist logo that appears in the upper left-hand corner of the site today—we’ve replaced the U.S. Capitol with the Washington Nationals’ curly-W logo.
Just as the Wilson Building is awash in red lights, Mayor Vince Gray is betting the D.C. flag on a Nats victory, legislators are skipping out on legislating, and legions of fans will today feign sickness to get to the game or their closest bar, we wanted to show our support for the home team as it plays the first post-season game in D.C. in 79 years.
If you don’t yet see the logo, keep refreshing the site or wait a bit. As usual, big thanks to Lynne Venart for coming up with our standard logo and our special playoffs-edition logo.
