Photo by T.D. FordWhen the clocks move back at 2 a.m. Sunday for the end of daylight savings time, we’ll all get an extra hour for sleep, or whatever other nefarious things are planned for this weekend.
And we also get an extra hour of Metro. The transit agency announced trains will continue running until the normal closing time of 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, meaning that when the clock strikes 2 and it suddenly becomes 1 a.m. again, there will still be two more hours of trains left.
Put it another way: If you get real sozzled on Saturday night and forget to reset your watch after 12 or 13 drinks and think you’re out of luck when the watch reads 3:30 a.m., it’ll actually be 2:30 a.m., and you can still catch that last train home.
