Cody Critcheloe, aka SSION exists on the fringes of dance and electro pop but his 2011 album Bent seems set to change that. Big in queer circles, SSION is known for immaculately constructed electro jams and a stage show invoking tons of props and costume changes. SSION is hitting up D.C. tomorrow night at the Rock and Roll Hotel, and it is sure to be a crazy party. Today’s song of the day “My Love Grows In the Dark” is an enjoyable pop number with traces in disco as well as some references to Madonna’s “Borderline.”

SSION plays Wednesday at 8 p.m. with House of Ladosha and Glitterlust at the Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H Street NE). Tickets $14.
