Northeast D.C.’s recently opened gourmet food hall is expanding its hours. Union Market, which was previously open only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays as well beginning next week.
The expanded hours come just in time for all the gustatory oneupmanship that comes with shopping for Thanksgiving meals—Union Market’s stalls include vendors hocking farm-raised meat, rare cheeses, premium coffee and other fancy foods.
Under the new operating hours, Union Market will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
This weekend will also include the several events at the bazaar, including Washington City Paper’s annual Crafty Bastards arts fair, a lamb burger-cooking contest, and a temporary lifestyle boutique by Amanda McClements, who will open a permanent stall at Union Market later this year.
