>> If you missed last night’s post, here’s the newest twist in the David Petraeus sex scandal: his mistress, Paula Broadwell, is staying with her brother in Mt. Pleasant.

>> Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell yesterday cut the ribbon on 14 miles worth of new express lanes that will make traveling along the Beltway a little less awful, reports the Examiner. The express lanes—which stretch from Springfield to around the Dulles Toll Road—officially open to motorists on Saturday, will charge based on how much traffic is on the roads, though carpoolers will be able to use them for free.

>> Last year the D.C. DMV dismissed $5 million worth of late fees on tickets from traffic camera because the agency wasn’t able to prove that the driver received the original notice of infraction, writes WTOP. DMV officials said that they are not sure why some drivers did not receive the original tickets, but that ticket adjudicators will often give them the benefit of the doubt and dismiss the late fees, which double the cost of the ticket after 30 days.

>> A teenage couple from Maryland that was running short on money shot and killed a D.C. taxicab driver in cold blood last week, reports the Washington Times. Now police have connected the male teen to another shooting in Charles County where a 40-year-old woman was killed while walking her dog, writes the Post.
