>> Lyfe Jennings to the fore in the mid-2000s with Lyfe 268-192. The Toledoan will be at the Howard Theatre for the night as a stop on his latest tour. $32.50 in advance / $37 at the door. 6 p.m.
>> As far as hip-hop goes, Bobbito Garcia was one of the biggest players in promoting the careers of folks like Biggie Smalls, Wu-Tang Clan and others while co-hosting the seminal NYC radio show, “The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show” (check out an old interview we did with him). More than that, though, he’s become an renowned deejay, documentarian and sneaker head. He’ll be at the Eighteenth Street Lounge for a set sure to touch on his love of Latin soul, funk and other musical forms. $TBA. 9:30 p.m.
