>> A 17-year-old was charged as an adult yesterday in the robbery and killing of a young man Saturday morning outside the Woodley Park-Adams Morgan Metro station, the Post reports. Chavez Tyrek Myers, of District Heights, Md., was charged with second-degree murder with a weapon as well as a count of assault with a deadly weapon in the death of 18-year-old Olajuwon Griffin.

>> The District formally declared its plans to establish a government-run health insurance exchange, bringing it into compliance with the 2010 Affordable Care Act. Because 93 percent of residents already carry insurance, D.C.’s exchange will serve both small-business and individual consumers, WAMU reports.

>> More than 300 District employees were involved in a scam to collecte more than $2 million in unemployment benefits while still working for the local government, the D.C. Office of Employment Services said yesterday. The Washington Examiner reports that many of the workers involved in the scheme have since lost their jobs, while about half the money has been recouped.
