Enjoy it. This is about as peaceful a scene involving Amtrak you’ll see all day. Still need to book that Thanksgiving travel? Good luck. There might be a few seats left on some Northeast Regionals or Acela Expresses, but it’s going to cost you. Right now, Union Station platforms are jammed with people trying to get home. Standing-room only on the four-hour ride to New York would not be unheard of. (EXIF)
