With Thanksgiving over, it’s time for Christmas! The White House welcomed its official Christmas tree this morning, with First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia (along with First Dog Bo) briefly reviewing a 19-foot Fraser that came from North Carolina during a brief ceremony. As per tradition, the tree will be placed in the Blue Room.
That last time North Carolina supplied the White House with its official Christmas tree was 2007 and 2008; West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin supplied the trees in the three years since.
