Fox 5 correspondent Matt Ackland was down at the brand new D.C. Costco today, and something caught his eye. Something shiny. Something expensive.

It was a 4.7-carat diamond engagement ring that retails for $344,305 but can be yours today for the low price of $226,999.99! Pretty good, huh? Sure, but maybe not as impressive—or insane—as a 6.2-carat ring the the membership-only retailer has carried in the past, charging $1 million (down from close to $1.5 million).

We guess it makes sense—the average income of Costco shoppers is $96,000, above that of many of its big-box competitors. But they could at least sell these in bulk too, right?
