ANNIVERSARY SHOW: The variety show and podcast You, Me, Them, Everybody hits its third anniversary with an extra-long edition tonight at 9 p.m. at Wonderland Ballroom (1101 Kenyon Street NW). Not only that, but host Brandon Wetherbee is turning 30. Expect three decades’ worth of jokes, grievances and other weirdness to spill out tonight.
MUSIC: Local indie rockers Ugly Purple Sweater play the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage (2700 F Street NW) Friday. 6 p.m. Free.
HOLIDAY MARKET: The Downtown Holiday Market, which takes place alongside the National Portrait Gallery, kicks off today and runs through December 23. Noon to 8 p.m.
SATURDAY
SOCCER AND EGGS: The Drafting Table (1529 14th Street NW) is launching new Futbol Weekend Brunches on Saturdays and Sundays, offering brunch dishes paired with European futbol games on three TVs. The kickoff is this Saturday, December 1, with the West Ham United vs. Chelsea game at 8 a.m. followed by the Arsenal vs. Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur vs. Fulham games at 10 a.m. As a part of this first new brunch event, customers in attendance between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. will receive a free Sexy Egg Sandwich.
CREATE YOUR OWN HOLIDAY CARDS: Instead of buying your holiday cards, why not create them? The National Postal Museum (2 Massachusetts Avenue NW) is hosting its Holiday Card Workshop today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; a local artist and supplies will be on hand to help you create a memorable holiday card that really speaks to you. Free.
STARTUP MARKET: Think Local First D.C. and NURISH are teaming up to put on StartUp Market, a one-day market that provides a venue for food and craft entrepreneurs to sell their products, network with other vendors and build a customer following. The market will take place at HR-57 (1007 H Street NE) from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 at the door, or for $20 you can get a lunch of sustainable tacos from StartUp Kitchen finalist Chaya, paired with a Chocolate City beer.
BASEBALL MEMORABILIA: Love old school baseball memorabilia? Head down to the Vintage Nats Sale, which will feature game-used memorabilia from former Nationals players. The sale will take place at Hill Country Barbecue Market (410 Seventh Street NW) and all proceeds will benefit the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation.
PARADE OF LIGHTS ON THE POTOMAC: Either head down to Alexandria or find a place along the banks of the Potomac River for the annual Alexandria Parade of Lights, when one mile of festively decorated power and sail boats parade from the the Alexandria Harbor to the Washington Channel. The parade begins at 5 p.m. Free.
SUNDAY
LOGAN CIRCLE HOUSE TOUR: Join the Logan Circle Community Association from 1-5 p.m. for its annual holiday tour of the neighborhood’s historic and elegant homes. $25.
INFANTILIZATION: Shopping for wind chimes or other items offered by the merchants and shopkeepers of Takoma Park, Md.? You can get a discount at certain stores, provided you show up wearing your pajamas. Yeah, you’ll be saving money, but remember, you’ll also be walking around in public wearing your pajamas. From 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at participating businesses.
