The menu includes basil and lime breadsticks with house marinated olives paired with 3 Stars LBJ; roasted cauliflower and mushrooms with balsamic reduction and black pepper dressing paired with 3 Stars Peppercorn Saison; creamy roasted tomato soup with 13th Street Meats half smokes paired with 3 Stars Pandemic Porter; pizza #1 (bechamel sauce, clams, bacon, roasted potato, onions, thyme, and Parsley) paired with 3 Stars Sea Change; Pizza #2 (Roasted Poblano Peppers and Almond pesto, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Goat Cheese, and Sausage) paired with 3 Stars Southern Belle; and finally, Baked Brown Sugar Pears with Golden Raisins, Dried Cherries and Vanilla Gelato paired with 3 Stars Winter Madness. HOLIDAY SHOPPING: The Downtown Holiday Market kicked off last Friday and continues everyday through December 23. Come out tonight to shop jewelry, imported crafts, clothes, accessories, and more. Tonight there will also be live performances by Patty Reese (12:00-2:00 p.m.) and Runakuna (5:00-7:00 p.m.). Shopping takes place between 12:00-8:00 p.m.

SPACE BENEFIT: IOTA Club and Cafe (2832 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Virginia) is hosting a benefit for the Arlington’s David M. Brown Planetarium tonight. Come out for live performances by Margot MacDonald, Koshari, Dominic Fragman, and the Lost Civilizations experimental music project. 8:00 p.m. $10 requested donation.

TUESDAY: There are lots of dinners designed to pair with specific beers and wines, but few that focus on pairing with cider. Meridian Pint (3400 11th Street NW) remedies that this Tuesday by offering a Crispin Cider Dinner that is also completely gluten-free. The meal includes short rib pho, steamed bronzini, squab glased with fresh cider, lavender honey goat cheese cake, and a cheese plate. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the meal begins at 7:00 p.m. $60.

WEDNESDAY: Jack Rose Dining Saloon (2007 18th Street NW) is celebrating Repeal Day this Wednesday with prohibition-priced cocktails (50 cent prohibition punch), burlesque, a 1920’s inspired menu (including a $20 four-course tasting menu from 5:00-10:00 p.m.) and more. 5:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m.

THURSDAY: The A.V. Club presents the dark comedy Bad Santa at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA) this Thursday, with A.V. Club Staffer Keith Phipps as host. Come watch “thieving, womanizing, gin-soaked mall Santa, Billy Bob Thornton” as he “delivers the surliness and profanity that’s as much a part the holiday season as carols and good cheer.” 7:30 p.m. $6.50.

FRIDAY: The Maida Withers Dance Construction Company performs Collision Course – a.k.a. Pillow Talk at GW’s Dorothy Betts Marvin Theatre (800 21st Street NW) this Friday and Saturday. 8:00 p.m. Tickets: $12/$17/$22.
