HOLIDAY SHOPPING: The Downtown Holiday Market kicked off last Friday and continues everyday through December 23. Come out tonight to shop jewelry, imported crafts, clothes, accessories, and more. Tonight there will also be live performances by Patty Reese (12:00-2:00 p.m.) and Runakuna (5:00-7:00 p.m.). Shopping takes place between 12:00-8:00 p.m.

Meridian Pint (3400 11th Street NW) remedies that this Tuesday by offering a Crispin Cider Dinner that is also completely gluten-free. The meal includes short rib pho, steamed bronzini, squab glased with fresh cider, lavender honey goat cheese cake, and a cheese plate. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the meal begins at 7:00 p.m. $60.

THURSDAY: The A.V. Club presents the dark comedy Bad Santa at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA) this Thursday, with A.V. Club Staffer Keith Phipps as host. Come watch “thieving, womanizing, gin-soaked mall Santa, Billy Bob Thornton” as he “delivers the surliness and profanity that’s as much a part the holiday season as carols and good cheer.” 7:30 p.m. $6.50.
