President Obama must have really enjoyed his experience delving into the bowels of the Internet when he participated in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session in August, because right now he’s at a laptop signed into the White House’s official Twitter account and answering questions from random users.

The question-and-answer session is designed to promote the White House’s goal of negotiating a tax deal that preserves existing rates for people earning less than $200,000 a year or families making less than $250,000. You can read the exchanges in the module below:


And just to prove that it is actually Obama, and not some West Wing flunky, tweeting out the replies, White House photographer Pete Souza offered visual proof of the president’s hands tapping on a MacBook Pro. Unfortunately, that photo was made on Instagram, and Souza used the image-sharing service’s trademark filters and borders, rendering the image useless for editorial purposes.
