Ben Chasny’s Six Organs of Admittance has been his long-running project where anything goes. One album could be all-acoustic folk and the next a stoner rock fist-pumper. Back in 2006 Chasny and friends Comets on Fire wanted to make a record together, but those original plans were scrapped and Chasny joined Comets on their last record Avatar, as well as on the road. Comets on Fire went on hiatus in 2008, but just this year the Chasny and Comets project Accent was released. The record features new collaborations as well as reworks of old Six Organs tracks, but Chasny is calling all the shots. Today’s song of the day, “Waswasa,” is a five-minute psych rock track that recalls Comets On Fire but more accessible.
