Students at Savoy Elementary School in Anacostia were treated to a visit by Grammy Award-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma this morning. Sponsored by the Washington Performing Arts Society, Ma and dancer Damian Woetzel will be at the school for two classes and a performance; other performers such as brass musicians from the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg will be at other area schools.
