The National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place between 4:30 and 7 p.m. tonight on the Ellipse, and as usual roads around the White House will be closed to traffic.

This year’s festivities will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris—full from his culinary crawl of D.C. restaurants, we assume—and feature performances by James Taylor, Jason Mraz, The Fray, Babyface, Colbie Caillat, and others.
