This week Metro started switching on brand new TV screens that will display real-time information on delays, track work, escalator and elevator outages, and schedule changes. Up until this point, the screens merely displayed the time of day. The screens are located on 112 kiosks at the entrance of Metro stations across the system, allowing riders to get a sense of whether they’ll even want to risk getting on a train or not before paying to get into the station.
