Parquet Courts is an indie rock four-piece which counts Andrew Savage, also of Austin pranksters Fergus and Geronimo, as a member. Their style takes from jangley indie rock and post-punk, making catchy sing-along-worthy tracks. Their debut Light Up Gold was released last year on a small label, but was just reissued by NYC boutique label What’s Your Rupture. Today’s song of the day, “Borrowed Time,” is a catchy fist-pumper playing to all of the band’s strengths.
Parquet Courts play tonight with Priests and Teen Liver at the Rocketship. Tickets are $6.
