>> The “DMV Ball” brings some of the area’s most notable hip-hop talent to the Howard Theatre‘s stage. Hosting the evening’s festivities will be DMV native Peter Rosenberg of New York’s preeminent hip-hop station, Hot 97, and MTV2. Performers include Oddisee, Diamond District, Sean Born, Kaimbr, Quartermaine, DJ Roddy Rod and the remainder of the Low Budget Crew. $15 in advance / $20 at the door. 11:59 p.m.

>> It kind of makes sense that a Chicago house legend would be in town for this weekend. Terry Hunter will be spinning in the Eighteenth Street Lounge‘s Gold Room. $TBA. 9 p.m.
