Vice President Joe Biden answered questions on a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session this afternoon. Well, OK, not the real Biden, but the alternative-history Biden as documented over the past four years in the pages of The Onion. To mark the publication of the satirical newspaper’s new unauthorized “autobiography” of the hardest-partying vice president in U.S. history, “Diamond” Joe Biden got on Reddit and fielded queries about drinking, fighting, and getting busy on the Acela.

Oh, and then the real Joe Biden piped in with a question. Via Twitter, the vice president harkened back to the Onion story that kicked this whole thing off: the article in which a shirtless Biden scrubbed down a vintage Pontiac Trans Am in the White House driveway. Well, the real Biden is a sports car enthusiast, although he prefers a different brand.

The tweet earned a whole ‘Vette-load of retweets, including one from President Obama.

Better still, the real Biden’s Twitter question—wrong social network, Mr. Vice President!—quickly got back to Reddit, where the Onion writers posing as party-time Biden shot right back at him:

Dear imavetteguy,
Those glorified Camaros aint good for nothing but smokin’ the tires.
Diamond Joe

The nation might be suffering from Biden confusion after this.
