VARIETY: The Encyclopedia Show DC is all about Saints tonight at Woolly Mammoth (641 D Street NW). Come be awed and entertained by poets and comics taking on St. John Nepomucene, St. Maria Goretti, St. Genesius of Rome, and a your other favorite holy figures. 8:00 p.m. Tickets: $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

ART & CULTURE: Phillips After 5 (1600 21st Street NW) celebrates Carnival! with “an evening of language lessons, art, music, food, and drink” that focus on the Brazilian festival. Abada-Capoeira DC will demonstrate Brazilian martial arts, DC Choro will perform Brazilian jazz and popular music, and Brazilian artist Sandra Cinto’s work will be showcased. 5:00-8:30 p.m. $12.
