The Travel Channel kicks off another season of Bizarre Foods America tonight at 9 p.m., and for the opener host Andrew Zimmern pays a visit to D.C.

Zimmern was in town for the taping last June, and some of the places he was visiting—Common Good Soup Kitchen, Mr. P’s, Florida Avenue Grill and yes, Ben’s Chili Bowl—didn’t sound particularly bizarre. But a teaser for the show does have him sampling some slightly bizarre and non-native food—the snakehead fish, which he eats as a blackened snakehead sandwich. He also samples peanut butter paired with foie gras and Scrapple, and—of course—hangs out with José Andrés.
