Bleeding Rainbow, formerly Reading Rainbow, are a Philadelphia indie-pop band who first gained attention for their noise rock and sharp hooks. Since changing their name, the band have shed the noisy quality of their first record and have progressed into a louder pop band where every sound is clear, including Sarah Everton’s vocals. Tonight the band plays DC9, and today’s song of the day is their track “Pink Ruff” from their latest album Yeah Right. The song is a loud banger with jangly guitars and pounding drums.

Bleeding Rainbow play tonight with Motion Lines at DC9. Tickets are $10.
