>> Dayvon Green, the University of Maryland student who shot and killed one of his housemates and wounded another before taking his own life yesterday morning, had been acting strangely in recent weeks. The Washington Post reports that Green’s housemates had been feeling increasingly wary around his behavior, and that family members say he suffered from an unspecified mental illness.
>> The planned Silver Line to Dulles International Airport made it through last summer’s turmoil at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority because labor-friendly members of the MWAA board were ousted, WAMU reports. According to internal emails, MWAA board members coordinated with Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell’s office and other Republican officials to remove Dennis Martire from the board.
