OK, so this snowstorm isn’t quite delivering what forecasters were predicting earlier in the week. But whatever you call this weather—be it the silly name offered by The Weather Channel or the even sillier term coined by the lexical thugs at the Capital Weather Gang—it has provided one very important facet of D.C. weather.

No offense to Weather Channel übermensch Jim Cantore, but when it comes to weather around these parts, there’s the intrepid duo of Pat Collins and Wendy Reiger, and then there’s everybody else. And here’s Collins, rocking the earflap hat, interviewing Mayor Vince Gray on the slushy streets of Cleveland Park.
