The pain of $85 billion in spending cuts is being felt everywhere—including the White House. NBC4 reports that tours of the White House will be suspended after Friday, due to sequestration:

“Due to staffing reductions resulting from sequestration, we regret to inform you that White House tours will be canceled effective Saturday March 9, 2013, until further notice,” a recording on the White House visitors phone line says. “Unfortunately, we will not be able to reschedule affected tours. We very much regret having to take this action particularly during the popular spring touring season.”

Due to the spending cuts that went into effect last week, uniformed Secret Service officers that led the tours will be assigned to different posts. Sequestration is hitting the Secret Service to the tune of $84 million. According to Politico, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani thinks stopping the tours is “absurd.”
