Mayor Vince Gray has been on a backhoe. And a Zamboni-like ice resurfacer. And on Bikeshare. Well, kind of.

And now comes a picture from his weekend foray to the South by Southwest conference in Austin, Tex., where he and Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Victor Hoskins jumped in a pedicab. According to Tiffany Thacker of the Washington, D.C. Economic Partnership, Gray and Hoskins had to get from one place to another in a short amount of time, but many roads were blocked off for the conference. Ergo, the pedicab.

While in Austin, Gray also talked up the burgeoning D.C. tech scene —looking comfortably informal in a t-shirt, natch.
